Hello! I’m Marti Jean, the creator behind Charlie Jean Jewelry. My journey into the world of jewelry design began in Los Angeles, California, where I discovered my passion at a young age. I would spend hours immersed in my mom’s jewelry box, exploring treasures from swap meets and the stunning pieces from my grandmother, affectionately known as “Bobbe.” This exploration led me to take apart and reimagine various designs, sparking my imagination.
While I’ve honed my skills mainly through self-guided exploration, I’ve also been fortunate to learn from incredible mentors who have expanded my understanding of this beautiful art form. One of my most cherished memories is of receiving a ziplock bag filled with semi-precious and precious stones from a family friend, Michael. Though each gem had minor "imperfections" that made them unsuitable for his work, they were like a treasure to me. This experience helped to fuel my love for jewelry, and I still have many of them today.
I’m lucky to have two talented jewelry makers who handmake everything for me in Greece, allowing us to experiment with bold, feminine designs. My collections showcase stunning semi-precious stones and pearls, reflecting my love for natural materials and the unique stories they carry.
Through Charlie Jean Jewelry, I’m excited to share my passion and the inspiration behind each piece. Be sure to check out the blog often, where I’ll delve into everything from the meanings of different stones to styling tips and the craftsmanship behind each item. My goal is to create a space where you can appreciate the beauty of jewelry alongside me.
Thank you for visiting our little corner of the world. I hope you find something that speaks to you!
With love,
Marti Jean
